Yakult Homemade Ice Cream

Yakult Lovers! Here’s A Homemade Ice Cream For You!

Recently, our favorite childhood drink, Yakult has been evolving in different forms. People already made Yakult into froyo, soft-servedalgona, and even into a cheesecake. Yakult Ice Pop also became a trend recently which is simply a frozen Yakult.

With all that trend (I haven’t tried any of it, sadly), I am just glad that someone from Lucena City made a homemade Yakult ice cream!

Who doesn’t love this probiotic drink anyway?

I was able to try two of their bestselling flavors which are the Yakulade and Lemon Cucumber Ice Cream.

Yakulade – I assume that this is a Yakult with lemonade ice cream thus the name Yakulade.

For starters, I did not expect that much since it is inexpensive and homemade. Well, I love Yakult so, this one tastes good for me. I love that sweet and tangy (like Yakult) flavor. The Yakult flavor is more evident than that of the lemonade yet it gives out a refreshing finish. The texture is fine, it was creamy like ice candyish creamy type and not like the typical texture of commercial ice creams we can buy in the supermarket.

Yakulade Homemade Ice Cream

My parents were not much a fan of this since it is basically Yakult but overall, we loved this!

If there is any room for improvement, that would be for its texture. It would be nice if they can make it more creamy.

Lemon Cucumber – it has the same color and texture as the Yakulade and I won’t be able to distinguish which is which if it wasn’t for the sticker tag.

My parents like this one better. It has a neutral flavor. You can definitely taste both the lemon and cucumber but it has a soft taste which made it refreshing just like drinking our favorite lemon cucumber drink.

Perhaps, a stronger flavor would make this one better for me.
