Homemade Japanese Cheesecake

An Affordable Homebaked Japanese Cheesecake In Pateros By Kandice Cakes and Pastries

Kandice Cakes and Pastries is known for its well-designed cakes made for special occasions. Their business started way back in 2016 but they stopped their operations temporarily in 2019. Now, they are back and they are focusing on delivering delicious homebaked Japanese Cheesecakes.

They are selling four flavors of Japanese Cheesecake, the original, ube, chocolate, and blueberry. Aside from that, they also offer brownies, cakes, and cupcakes. I was able to try two of their products and here’s what I think:

Original Japanese Cheesecake – the cakes arrived in good shape even though it was traveled from Pateros to Lucena City. Also, the seller gave me additional powdered sugar. She told me that she always adds it with no additional charge for deliveries in far areas since they also deliver in San Pedro, Laguna.

I looked them up on their social media accounts and the cakes arrived as expected. A perfectly fluffy and jiggly Japanese Cake. I sprinkled the powdered sugar on top for the final touch before I eat it. The cake was moist and it melts in your mouth too. It has the right amount of sweetness but I like it better with the additional sugar since it does not only add flavor but it also adds a bit of texture.

This somehow reminds me of Kumori’s Japanese cheesecake. I can’t exactly tell if it’s really similar since it has been a while since I last ate one.

Ube Japanese Cheesecake – aside from the original, this is also their bestseller.

It has the same moistness and fluffiness but with added flavor. This one is less sweet than the original since it has a mild ube flavor. My sisters and parents actually liked this better but I am actually torn between the two. I can’t eat just one! They’re equally delicious for me.
