Tajimaya: Eat-All-You-Can Japanese Charcoal Barbecue Grill

Tajimaya is an authentic Yakiniku Restaurant in Rockwell which serves premium types of meat. Unlike their stores in MOA, Cebu, Alabang Town Center, Baguio City and soon in Vista Mall, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, this branch serves Wagyu Special Sets, Premium Beef, and Premium Whiskies (one of their whiskeys costs 2.2M! – a 35-year-old Hibiki Suntory Whisky). That’s insane!!! But yes, people buy it here.

35 years old Hibiki Suntory Whisky

If you want a cheaper drink (I mean cheaper than 2.2M), you can have their Suntory Prestige Whisky which was aged for 25 years or their Yamazaki Single Malt Whisky, aged for 12 years. If you still don’t feel like it, you can choose from their vast array of alcohol selection. But don’t get intimidated, this restaurant has an eat-all-you-can Japanese barbecue that will surely make your stomach full!

Alcohol Selections

You can enjoy their eat-all-you-can Japanese charcoal barbecue grill for 90 minutes during lunch or dinner time. This includes 8 types of premium meat — USDA beef rib eye, pork belly, salmon belly, squid, special Tajimaya sausage, fishcake, scallop, and chicken fillet. You can also enjoy 5 side dishes — rice, salad, fresh lettuce, kimuchi (Japanese version of kimchi which is more on the sweet side as compared to the spicy Korean kimchi) and bean sprouts (Moyashi Namuru). But wait, there’s more! The set also includes bottomless iced tea! Need I say more? They only use the freshest and most authentic ingredients which you can taste in every bite. My favorite?? Their salad, beef, sausage, and scallops! Everything was delicious! Pick your battle. I mean pick your favorite meat and savor it ’till you can!

Price:
Php 685 (weekdays)
Php 740 (weekends)

Aside from that, you can also enjoy their Wagyu Special Sets, which range from Php 2,940 to Php 3,160. They have a lot of other options on their menu. So, don’t forget to check it out.

The restaurant has an intimate vibe and has dividers which separate each table. One more thing is that they use coal-powered smokeless grills, so it was more convenient to cook and you don’t have to worry about your smell after dining in.

Nutritionist Tips:

  1. The saying, “save the best for last” won’t be applicable here but instead do it the other way around to get the most of what you paid for.
  2. Chicken cooks slower, so you better be cooking it first if you are a chicken person.
  3. Don’t eat too much rice or side dishes since it will get you full faster.
  4. Skip the iced tea if you don’t want the sugar to add up on the calories.
  5. Savor every meat and enjoy good food with your family and friends!
