Sweet Butter Bakey + Cafe is located in the less busy part of Maginhawa serving cakes, pasta, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, and smoothies. They also sell customized cakes and cupcakes for special occasions.
When we came inside the cafe, I am already eyeing the cakes but oh well, let’s start with the sandwich.
Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich – sourdough bread with grilled chicken, basil pesto sauce, and melted cheese. The sandwich looks too plain but I love how the bread’s texture and the pesto used.

Spicy Scampi Pasta – shrimp in garlic and olive oil penne pasta. Make sure to mix the pasta well to enjoy its full flavor though I am looking for a spicier hint.

Revel Squares – crunchy and soft revel squares with chocolate and pineapple bits inside. I love pineapples but I find this one a bit weird. I would have rated this 5/5 if only there’s no pineapple on it.

Chocolate Obsession – now I’m obsessed with its dense chocolate sponge cake with Belgian chocolate ganache. Moist and just perfect for chocolate lovers.

Triple Chocolate Mousse – I love that they did not add sugar on this cake as its sweetness came from the chocolate mousse. Ugghh! I super love this one! And it melts in my mouth!

Ultimate Oreo Cheesecake – okay, now I can’t really decide which cake tastes better. Everything was just perfectly moist, melts in my mouth and yes, super yummy! Given it only costs Php 100+!

All their cakes are being sold per slice or whole depending on availability.
For the drinks, were able to try three different smoothies (from left to right). First was the Frozen Mocha Smoothie which was made with cold brew, chocolate powder, and milk. The Pure Mango made with mangoes, milk and ice cream. And the Oreo Cheesecake Smoothie was made with oreos, cream cheese, milk, and vanilla ice cream. I love all the drinks especially the Oreo Cheesecake Smoothie.

Overall, Sweet Butter Bakery + Cafe is a perfect place if you want to enjoy a hot cup of tea or smoothie while having affordable cake slices. I love their cakes and the revel squares but I find their pasta average for its price. I also love the sweet and quiet vibe of this cafe.
