Ever want some ramen but having second thoughts because it is too heavy for dinner? Well, I have good news for you! Ippudo has now a lighter option for ramen lovers, their Mushroom Ramen! Ippudo’s first ever non-pork based ramen. Yup, the base is not made with pork but with fresh, hand-picked white button mushrooms and infused with house-made miso paste and fragrant garlic oil.
Instead of the usual pork chashu, this one is topped with braised silken Japanese tofu, ajikikurage, shimeji, enoki, white button mushrooms, spring onions, and bean sprouts. Surprisingly, the broth still gave it a full flavor, the flavor that we are looking for when we dine at Ippudo and have their ramen. It achieved its goal of having ramen that’s not too heavy but I am looking for more tofu. Also, being used to the meaty ramen, I think this one is better with their Shio Tamago. Good thing that you can add-on this salted soft-boiled egg for just Php 60.

And oh, did anyone say dessert? Don’t forget to save some room for dessert, too! Ippudo also have these worth-the-calories desserts!
This Creamy Matcha Brulee was topped with vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with matcha powder. I was never a fan of matcha but this changed my mind. This is the best tasting Crème Brulee I ever had.
These photos cannot justify how good their desserts are!
