Don Joaquinito's Cafe

Don Joaquinito’s Cafe

My friends and I were looking for a place where there is salad aside from the rice and pasta dishes so, we have decided to dine-in Don Joaquinito’s Cafe.

At first, we thought that the place was closed since it was dimly lighted. Super dim, as I may say. Plus the pastry display counter was empty so, no cakes for this post. Since it was too dark and hot, we have decided to dine in the alfresco area since it was raining and cold outside. It has better lighting and ventilation.

Anyway, here’s what we had:

Caesar Salad – good thing they have this salad which is good for one. It was a typical salad anyway.

Price: Php 165

Food Rating: 3.5/5

Chicken Buffalo Wings – the chicken looks bloody red and it was super spicy. If you want your chicken super spicy, then you can try this. We think they only used hot sauce and butter on this one. I wasn’t even able to finish a piece.

Longganisa – longganisa meal served with garlic rice and egg.

Longsilog

Price: Php 145
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 4/5

Chicken Sun-Dried Pasta – I was expecting slices of sun-dried tomatoes but I didn’t see any. It was aromatic but the pasta was not al dente and “nakakaumay”. The chicken fingers, on the other hand, were surprisingly good.

Chicken Sundried Pasta

For the drinks, everything we tried was too sweet including the Wild Cherry, Salted Caramel and Mocha Tribe.

Ambiance: 3.5/5

A good place to dine-in for small groups if you are looking for typical food and chill spots.
