California Mix Fruit Tea

Chachago: A Great Variety of Authen-TEAc Taiwanese Drink

Been seeing Chachago popping everywhere in Metro Manila since last year and I was a bit surprised when I saw that they also have a branch in our province, in Lucena City. Being curious that I am, my friends and I tried it.

Chachago is another famous milk tea shop that originated from Taiwan . It started way back in 2013 and opened its first branch in the Philippines in 2018. They offer over 30 drink selections: Fruit Tea, Cream Cheese, Brown Sugar, Milk Tea, Cold Beverages, and Wintermelon Series. Aside from the drinks, they also offer snacks like Taiwan’s most popular streetfood — Taiwan Sausage and Chicken Chops. Surprisingly, they also have Black Wagyu on their menu!

We have tried some of their drinks and here’s what we think:

California Mix Fruit Tea – a refreshing drink with a mix of pineapple, orange, apple, lemon, and calamansi.

This fruit tea is one of their best-selling drinks and was recommended by the staff.

Mango Oreo with Cream Cheese – this is something new to us and was recommended again by the staff. Surprisingly, it has that distinct mango flavor mixed harmoniously with the oreo and cream cheese. A definitely must-try!

Roasted Brown Sugar Cacao with Cream Cheese – one of my default orders when going on a milk tea shop are the ones with cream cheese. And this drink definitely did not disappoint! Even though it has roasted brown sugar, the sweetness level was just right.

I have noticed that some of their drinks only have one size like the Mango Oreo with Cream Cheese and Roasted Brown Sugar Cacao with Cream Cheese. Also, not all their drinks’ default sugar content is 100% so, make sure to ask them or better yet, tell them your desired sugar content.

Since we like the place, my friends and I decided to go back the next day. This time, I tried their Cacao with Ice Cream which costs Php 140.  I assumed that the drink would be something like that of a coke float but the ice cream was at the bottom. The cacao-based drink was good but the vanilla ice cream was a bit hard which made me struggle to mix it to my drink.

Overall Rating: 5/5

We love our overall experience here. It has a bright and homey ambiance. The first floor is a bit small but there are more tables and chairs on the second floor. Also, the staff was friendly and accommodated us really well.
