BBQ Chicken

BBQ Chicken: The Fried Chicken of Your Favorite Korean Dramas!

If you’re a K-drama fan like me, you know that BBQ Chicken is not just another Korean restaurant brought here in the Philippines. It’s a restaurant that brings us closer to experiencing Korea or literally eating what those Korean artists are eating in our favorite Korean dramas, Goblin and Crash Landing On You to name a few.

I’ve been wanting to dine here for a while now and was glad that there are no lines when we came.

I am looking forward to trying out their chicken and searched their menu beforehand. Honestly, we find their chicken menu a bit expensive and not teybolforwan-friendly. I mean, their chicken are all good for sharing since the smallest serving is 8 pieces of chicken. Good thing I got friends who willingly joined me on this food escapade!

Anyway, we’ve decided to indulge ourselves a bit and tried them. I’ve been seeing their chicken too much in K-dramas so, I should!

While waiting for our friend who got stuck in traffic since it suddenly rained, we decided to have some appetizers first and tried something different for us, their Fried Seaweed Roll.

Fried Seaweed Roll

Korean fried seaweed rolls stuffed with seasoned glass noodles.

To be honest, we didn’t like this that much. We expected more flavors and the dip was just meh.

They say it perfectly matches their Tteokbokki but we didn’t try it.

Mascarpone Salad

Special salad with fragrant black olive, soft mascarpone cheese, and Oriental dressing.

Mascarpone Salad

Not something we usually see in a Korean restaurant but this one is love! Love every bit of this salad, especially the mascarpone on top!

Price: Php 349

2-3 persons

Stone-Pot Bulgogi Bibimbap

Korean traditional bibimbap in a hot stone pot. A nice way to enjoy your bibimbap hot.

This one did not disappoint as well. Everything was just delicious. We thought the serving would be huge too but this one is just enough for one person. The price is also reasonable and definitely worth it.

Pane Spicy Chicken Fondue

Crispy, soft, and juicy golden fried chicken strips paired with mild spicy cheese-flavored fondue cream sauce.

Pane Spicy Chicken Fondue

Honestly, we had a bit of a hard time choosing from their chicken menu since we find it really expensive. I mean the price ranges from Php 500+ to Php 1,500! What in the chicken world? Haha.

But of course, we couldn’t leave this place without trying out their chicken as it is what they are famous for. We were debating which one to get until my friend decided that she want to try their Pane Spicy Chicken Fondue. I was going for their Golden Fried Chicken but who am I to resist a chicken fondue? Also, we’re only three people dining in so, we gotta make wise decisions since their food are mostly for sharing.

My friends and I love their tender, juicy, and flavorful chicken. It was really tender! We also love the cheese that they used, it was just perfect. You should also not miss out on the crispy part of the bread which goes perfectly with the cheese. Eat that bread!

This might be a bit expensive but I can say that this is sulit.

Price: Php 779
Table for:
2-3

Fried Sampler

Onion rings, cheese sticks, and french fries.

Their french fries were typical. Love the quality of the cheese sticks. The onion rings, however, have too much breading. Tastes good but could have been better with less breading for us.

Price: Php 539
Table for:
3-4
Food Rating: 3.5/5

They also have a Chicken Platter where you can have all of these plus their chicken.

Overall Rating

We love their food especially their Mascarpone Salad and Stone-Pot Bulgogi Bibimbap. We also think that their other salad options would taste great too. If you love cheese, you should definitely try their Pane Spicy Chicken Fondue. It wasn’t spicy so, you’re still good even if you’re not into spicy food.

If I will come back? Definitely, yes! Especially if I have a budget and would like to try BBQ Chicken’s Golden Fried Chicken or their UFO Chicken which is really famous. Serving size is reasonable for 2-3 persons especially if you are going to order other food like we did.

By the way, they also have beers and other alcoholic beverages that you can enjoy with your chicken! Chicken and beer time!

They also have desserts but we didn’t try it since we went to a cafe afterward.
