Wakatatam Reopened its Store as Pilar by Wakatatam

Pilar by Wakatatam, previously known as Wakatatam has reopened its store last October 28, 2019, in a different location (but still in Katarungan Village).

The new location is bigger with more seats available. They also upgraded the interior giving it a relaxed and modern ambiance. Aside from that, they also leveled up their menu by adding more options. More choices for us! Yay!

The building has 3 floors but the restaurant was located on the ground floor only and they are planning to put up a restaurant bar on the 2nd floor (SOON).

Pilar by Wakatatam was founded by the De Guzman siblings. Named after their late grandmother, Pilar, and its friend’s group name “Wakatatam” which is the inverted word for “matatakaw”. The De Guzman siblings decided to put up their own restaurant to honor their late grandmother who loves dining out with her “wakatatam friends”.

The De Guzman siblings have their own fair share in managing the restaurant, everyone is in-charge for a specific task  — head chef,  customer service, interior, and financial aspect.

For the food, they serve a variety of Filipino dishes that will surely satisfy your Pinoy food cravings.

Where to Eat in Alabang

Overall, we love its relaxed ambiance with the dim-lit interior. The ambiance actually felt like we’re in a cafe and the staff was friendly.
