My sister told me that we are going out. So, okay. Let’s go!
She also told me to look for a place where we can have coffee and chicken. What a weird combo, I thought. So, she ended up searching for the place and found this cafe, The Pinkuri. It was really hard for me to search for cafes or restaurants here in Lucena since they don’t show up on Facebook. Based on the photos on The Pinkuri’s Facebook Page, the place looks cute, and it’s pink! Gladly, it looked the same in real life This cafe reminds me of a few cafes I’ve tried in Manila like Noriter Cafe and Amo Yami Crib where students usually hang out to play, chill, and of course, eat. The Pinkuri is the same except that they don’t have board games here. Instead, they have a VIP area where you can host a small party or maybe watch a movie together with your friends.
For the food, there’s quite a selection but sadly, some of our “supposed to be” orders like their waffles, strawberry frappe, and Nutella frappe are not available. Anyway, there are still a lot of choices available so, we just settled for those.
Here’s what we ordered at The Pinkuri.
Honey Sriracha
We don’t want to eat rice that night and since some of their appetizers are not available, they allowed us to order these chicken wings without rice. Php 10 was deducted from the original price, Php 160 for no rice.
I told my sister to try something new for her, so I suggested trying their Sriracha Chicken (also because I miss sriracha). The staff told us that the chicken is spicy but I told them that it wouldn’t be that spicy since they will use sriracha. Well, I was wrong. It was indeed spicy but not too spicy. I mean, if you are someone who really loves super spicy food, this would not be spicy for you. Anyway, I was actually in doubt if this was really the Sriracha Chicken or maybe this is Buffalo? It tastes more like a hot sauce for me than sriracha. Still good but it wasn’t the tangy, sweet, and a bit spicy sriracha flavor I was expecting.
By the way, the serving was a bit small so, this is definitely good for one.

Wings and Fries Platter
Of course, we ordered another chicken since my sister was craving chicken even though we ate Chicken Buffalo Wings last week, for 2 nights straight. LOL.
We got their Buffalo Wings and to be honest, again, this isn’t the taste we expected. It was a bit sweet, it taste more like Soy Glazed for us. It tastes good but it wasn’t buffalo. But I like this better than their Sriracha Chicken and maybe I’ll order this again next time.
Other flavors available are Honey Garlic, Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Glazed, Cheesy Jalapeño, Hawaiian Bbq, and Buttered Garlic.
Also, they said that this is good for sharing but I think, this is only good for one. Well, you can share like we did if you will order other food. But yeah, I can definitely finish this one, then have dessert after.
Actually, I will rate this 5/5 if they will change the name to Soy Glazed Chicken, which we think is more appropriate. Well, that’s just for us.

Bacon Cheese Burger
I asked the staff, “does your burger really looks like this?” (while pointing to the photo on the menu). He said yes, so, okay. I wanna try it and see for myself.
And the answer is definitely, yes! Look at that!
I wasn’t really expecting that much for this price but they got me with this. Also, they used real bacon here! Not the packed ones. This is a super yes for me. Must-try! Super sulit!

Meaty Spaghetti
Birthdays wouldn’t be complete without spaghetti! Haha. Just kidding.
Meaty and a bit on the sweet side. Tastes okay as well. Something to partner with their chicken. If you want something really filling, you can have this since the pasta serving was a bit big. Just look at how full the plate was.

Now, for the drinks. I was a bit annoyed that they don’t have the Strawberry or Nutella Frappe because I have to settle for their Salted Caramel.
Salted Caramel Frappe
Okay. I take it back. I ain’t have to settle for this because it was so good!!! Definitely, one of the best Salted Caramel Frappe I had here in Lucena. It wasn’t too sweet plus it has the right balance of sweet and salty that would make you not stop sipping it.
Actually, I think their drinks were a bit expensive given the size of their glass? Or maybe it was just too good that I’d want a large. All their drinks have only one size so, you don’t have an option. This was really bitin! So good!!!
Also, I wonder why this isn’t included in The Pinkuri bestsellers?

Caramel Macchiato
See what I mean? My friend was complaining because the cup was too small. We want large!!! Hahaha.
My friend said that it was also good but the drink wasn’t too hot so she’d only rate it 4/5. If the drink was hot enough, this is definitely a 5/5. Also, again, petition to have a large drink? Hehe.

Hot Latte
Like the other hot drink, this isn’t hot as well but definitely tastes good.
The air conditioning was cold at that time since we were the only ones there so, having a really hot drink was a good idea. Hope they can improve on this one.
My sister ordered this and she said that she would rate this 5/5 if it was hot.

Overall, we enjoyed the whole vibe of The Pinkuri. I think not everyone will like this place because you have to remove your shoes when going inside plus you have to sit on the floor. Though they have tables and chairs but it can only sit up to 6 people. I think this place is perfect for millennials looking for a cute place to hang out while enjoying good food like chicken, burgers, and coffee. They also have pizza, nachos, and another bunch of stuff so you have options.
Wearing shoes that are easy to remove would be a good idea when going here or perhaps wear socks if you don’t want to roam around the cafe barefooted.
If I will come back, definitely yes for their frappe, and burgers. Would also love to try their pizza, waffles, and other food as well. Try out the Pinkuri and let me know what you think!
