Was hesitant at first to buy this Viennetta Ice Cream from Selecta since I cannot see the price and thought it would be as expensive as their Magnum Ice Cream so I had to think twice and decided to not buy it at first. When I arrived home, I googled it and saw that it wasn’t expensive as I thought. It costs like any other regular ice cream, Php 199 for a 650 ml cake-like ice cream which is good for 6 persons.
Viennetta Ice Cream was actually sold in the ’90s in U.K. and U.S. but was discontinued after. Now, they brought it back, and is also available here in the Philippines. Bought this at the supermarket, Puregold to be exact but I’ve read that it is also available in other supermarkets nationwide and even on Shopee but delivery is limited to Metro Manila residents only.
Selecta’s Viennetta is a cake-like vanilla-flavored ice cream interlaced with crispy, decadent chocolate layers on top and in between. Then dusted with cocoa powder on top.

If you love vanilla ice cream, you should definitely try this one. It was subtly sweet which would make you want more. Love the crunchy texture that the chocolate adds to the soft and creamy vanilla ice cream. It somehow reminds me of their Magnum ice cream but the inexpensive version. Less chocolatey, and less sweet but delicious in its own way!
If you would ask me if I would buy this again, definitely yes! This is super sulit!
