Rkive Cafe

Want To Go Namjooning In Makati? Start With This BTS-Themed Cafe: Rkive Cafe!

This BTS-themed cafe especially features the BTS’ leader, RM as the cafe name implies. Though this is the case, you can also feel the other members here as standees are available for all 7 members.

Rkive Cafe

Since it is the Christmas season, they have a Christmas Tree where BTS photos and BT21 keyrings are hung instead of the usual Christmas ornaments. They also have a mini In The Soop corner where you can leave notes/reviews for the cafe or a message for BTS.

BTS Cafe in Metro Manila

Love the ambiance of the cafe! Very Namjoon-like.

BTS Cafe Makati

Since we are still full from dining at Idol Cafe, we just ordered drinks and some snacks to try.

Bungeoppang

Remember when the internet went crazy when BTS reunited after their vacation and posted an IG story where they are eating bungeoppang? Oh yes, everything is about BTS!

Bungeoppang

Their bunggeopang has 4 different flavors: red bean, ube cheese, hazelnut, and oreo & cream. Price differs per flavor from Php 35 to Php 55. This definitely tastes good, slightly chewy, and crisp. It was also served with ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup on top. The bungeoppang was served hot and the ice cream already melted. I guess nothing beats 7 With You Cafe‘s ice cream that doesn’t seem to melt. LOL. I would rate this 5/5 if the ice cream was served not melted.

Potato Pizza Waffle

Being adventurous with food, we decided to try this.

This menu was inspired by BTS’ Laundry Pizza Shoot for Love Yourself: Her.

Potato Pizza Waffle

Nice plating and I love their plate too! It was our first time trying out this snack and the flavor was overwhelming. We don’t have any idea how it should really taste like but it was heavy since it’s made with potatoes and the condiments drizzled on top make the dish a bit nakakaumay. We didn’t get to finish this. I love potatoes but I would say pass on this one.

For safer food options, go for their Rkive Toast series or Hobi Toast. By the way, they have a specific menu curated for ARMYs, which I find cute!

Rkive Cafe

For the drinks, we tried their Purple Lemonade and Borahae Drink since those are also on the menu curated for ARMYs.

Overall Rating

Rkive Cafe is the least of our favorite cafes since the cafe is small and feels cramped. The staff wasn’t that welcoming and seems not happy when I was ordering. Well, I think we were used to the welcoming, helpful, and happy staff of the other BTS-themed cafes. I felt like those cafes were a safe space for ARMYs to fan girl and eat but that wasn’t the case here based on our experience. Another factor that made the cafe feel cramped are the loud ARMYs dining in at the time we went there. ARMYs, I know we are happy to be with our boys but please avoid talking too loud and not disrupt other customers. They were too loud that we cannot even hear the mellow music playing in the background. We wanted to listen to Namjoon’s voice but we can’t hear it.

The bunggeopang and the drinks we tried were definitely good. Still a must-visit cafe but I hope that they can improve their customer service and serve ARMYs with smiles on their face. I mean, how could they not when they are surrounded by BTS?

ARMY Events and Reservations

Rkive Cafe accepts walk-ins but if you are planning to go here, especially if you are coming from a far place, you better book your reservation just to be sure since the cafe is small and can only accommodate a few ARMYs at a time. They have a reservation form posted on their social media accounts or simply message them if you have further questions. They have a reservation fee of Php 200 per table for 2 people. The reservation fee is consumable and refundable if you are going to cancel a day before your schedule. The reservation fee will not be refunded if you cancel on the day of your schedule.

They also host ARMY events and celebrate the BTS members’ birthdays through Cup Sleeves Events.

They don’t have dedicated parking but you can park on the side streets.

By the way, they also have a few BTS merch available. They also have Borahae Cards which you can buy in-store or online for Php 120 only.
