Highlands Corned Beef

Quick And Instant Alfredo Pasta With Highlands Corned Beef

Using corned beef on spaghetti rather than ground pork is not something new. I always stock on noodles, tomato sauce, and corned beef just in case I crave for a Filipino Style Spaghetti. Yup, corned beef instead of ground pork since it would last longer, and of course, it is easier to stock.

This time, I wanted to try Alfredo Pasta but I don’t have chicken fillet so, I have decided to use Highlands Corned Beef. If corned beef tastes good on Spaghetti, then why not on Alfredo Pasta, right?

I wanted to have a quick but “sosyal na merienda” so,  my solution? Use a good instant pasta mix! I just added some butter and milk to the instant pasta mix and viola! My pasta is ready! However, whenever I eat pasta, I want to have meat along with it so I tried using corned beef and I used not just any other corned beef but Highlands Gold Corned Beef.

What I specifically love about this is its big chunks which are made with 100% pure beef na hindi malitid at masebo for just Php 65 per 150g. This made me felt like I used the real deal! And yes, I just sauteed it with some garlic, onions, and a pinch of salt. Make sure to add just a pinch since the corned beef is already flavorful on its own. You may also opt not to add salt and it would still taste great on your pasta.

After that, I just mixed the sauteed corned beef on my Alfredo Pasta mix, garnished it with some parsley, and added cheese as well. Any cheese will do but the best one to use is the Parmesan Cheese.

Next time, I will try cooking my pasta from scratch and see if it would taste even better.

On another note, I saw that some of my foodie friends also used this corned beef on their pasta like @thefoodieinac’s Baked Mac, and @shescapade’s Potato and Corned Beef Lasagna which looks delicious too!
