Whenever we look for Buko Pie for pasalubong, one of the famous shops we often go to is El Mare, next is Collete’s and The Original. Recently, I was able to try House of Pies who offers a variety of flavors from mango. chocolate, ube, macapuno, pineapple, apple, peach mango, and strawberry.

My siblings passed by this store called Elmero’s & Cora’s Buko Pie & Pasalubong and thought it was El Mare since the sign was also red. So, they bought one thinking it was another brand. LOL. Upon seeing this, I was shocked and told myself, “why is it not El Mare?” But on another note, “oh, something new to review!”

Surprisingly, we love this one! It has a flaky pie texture and has the right combination of buko and buko filling for us. One thing we noticed was this one has more buko filling compared to other brands we’ve tried which made it taste better.

Would definitely recommend and buy this one again! Well, if you are not a fan of Buko Pie, they also offer egg pie, ube cassava, buko cassava, and ube pie. Would also love to try those next time!
